Meet Renae
I’m proud to call Antelope home. I’ve lived here for 13 years and have been an active member of the Antelope and Dry Creek communities for much of that time.
Originally from a small town in South Dakota, I moved to California to pursue my education and earned my doctorate in clinical psychology. After beginning my career, I stepped away from professional practice to focus on raising my family and found meaningful ways to serve my community through volunteering.
I’m a parent of three children who have grown up in the Dry Creek School District since 2015. My son is a Titan at Antelope High School, and my daughters are Cougars at Antelope Crossing Middle School. We started our journey as Broncos at Barrett Ranch Elementary, and that connection to our schools has remained an important part of our family.
In 2019, I joined the Barrett Ranch PTA as Secretary and went on to serve multiple terms as President and Vice President. I’ve also volunteered in classrooms, chaperoned field trips, supported teachers and staff, and served on the Barrett Ranch School Site Council.
These experiences have given me a firsthand understanding of our educators' dedication, the importance of strong campus communities, and the difference engaged families can make.
I’m running for the Dry Creek School Board because I want to bring the voices and experiences of our students, families, educators, and staff to the board level. My background in psychology and years of community service have taught me the importance of listening, collaboration, and understanding different perspectives.
Dry Creek is more than a school district—it’s a community built around our children. I’m grateful for the community that has supported my family, and I’m committed to giving back by continuing to serve the students, families, educators, and staff who make Dry Creek such a special place.

“Renae's determination truly shows. When something needs to get done, she steps up to the plate. She works very hard, truly listens, and is someone I would want as a representative of the Antelope community.”

Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District is built on a tradition of excellence spanning 150 years. For the last 11 years, my family has been a part of that tradition, and we call this district home. I care deeply about our district's success and how it supports our students, families, teachers, and staff. I’ll serve our district with an understanding of the day-to-day successes, challenges, and needs of our schools, and bring personal, on-the-ground experience to the boardroom. Our campus communities deserve a board member who knows their schools, cares about connection, and will be a voice for them in making district wide decisions.
